With their roots planted in reggae and hip hop, Jay & Bandidos blend references and musical-styles ranging from rock, dancehall and house to their own mix of indie and scandinavian electronica.

Jay is a charismatic singer that manages to move and inspire people  through his lyrics and powerful performances. Singing in Creole, Portuguese and English he is able to reach a wide range of people  despite their culture or ethnicity.

Together with his Bandidos, Jay has become a live sensation in the West-African Island paradise of Cape Verde, where they have toured extensively, drawing audiences of up to 80 000 people. They are currently nominated for the 2012 Cape Verdian Music Awards where their album "Sempri Bandidos" recieved nominations for "Best Reggae", "Best Hip Hop" and "Best Electronic Album". Jay & Bandidos are well known for their energetic live shows. WIth musicians with backgrounds as diverse as Cape Verde, Portugal, Norway, Ireland, England and Iran, Jay & Bandidos is truly a multinational orchestra, a true testament to the undeniable force of music as an international language of love and happiness.
